Session Preparation

Preparing For An In-Person RTT Or EMDR Session

  1. Avoid scheduling anything mentally or emotionally demanding immediately after your session. Setting aside time to rest, reflect, and integrate the work allows your subconscious mind to continue processing and can help you gain the greatest benefit from your session.

  2. Check the location and address to ensure you avoid any delays and arrive promptly.

  3. Silence all notifications, such as email, WhatsApp, Facebook, and LINE.
    • Enable ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode on your phone, computer, smart watch, and any other electronic devices in the room.

  4. Ensure you will not be disturbed and inform any necessary individuals that you will be unreachable during the session.

  5. Reschedule any deliveries or potential interruptions in advance.

  6. Physical preparation: Have plenty of sleep the night before, avoid overeating, and stay well-hydrated.

Session Preparation

Preparing For A Virtual RTT Or EMDR Session

  1. Avoid scheduling anything mentally or emotionally demanding immediately after your session.
    • Setting aside time to rest, reflect, and integrate the work allows your subconscious mind to continue processing and can help you gain the greatest benefit from your session.

  2. You are required to sit upright during these sessions. Please take the call from a quiet, comfortable, and private space with minimal noise and distractions. DO NOT take this call while driving or walking.

  3. It is highly advised to wear headphones or earphones with a microphone to ensure clear audio for the both of us.
    • For wireless device, please ensure they are fully charged before the session.

  4. It is highly advised to access the video call link from a laptop or a desktop computer.
    • For laptop or tablet/iPad, ensure your device is fully charged and, if necessary, plugged into a power source.
    • Adjust your screen settings to prevent it from shutting down or going into sleep mode during the session.

  5. RTT: Position your device so that your upper body (at least from the waist up) is visible throughout the session.

  6. Make sure you have the strongest internet connection possible to avoid disruptions.

  7. Enable ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode on your phone, computer, and any electronic devices in the room.
    • Silence all notifications, such as email, WhatsApp, Facebook, and LINE.
    • Close any unnecessary programs or webpages during the session.

  8. Create a distraction-free environment by informing anyone in your household that you will be unavailable for the duration of the session. E.g. No pets, no deliveries, no loud background noises.

  9. Physical preparation: Have plenty of sleep the night before, avoid overeating, and stay well-hydrated.

Session Guidelines

Post-Session Guidelines

  1. RTT: Commit to listening to your bespoke self-hypnosis audio every day for a minimum of 21-30 days, at least once or twice a day. Many clients find that listening to the audio multiple times a day enhances the assimilation process.
    • Do NOT listen to this recording when you’re driving or operating heavy machinery.

  2. EMDR: Commit to doing the anchoring (more will be explained during the session) every day for just a few seconds to reinforce change.

  3. RTT: Any amendments to your bespoke self-hypnosis audio must be requested during the first progress review session by informing Eve of the timestamps and relevant phrases you would like to change. Further amendments thereafter may incur additional fees.

  4. You have access to Eve’s support via email and/or messaging for the entirety of your enrolled program. Eve will aim to respond within 24 hours or within business hours Monday to Friday (between 10:00-18:00 UK time, or her local time).

  5. Following an RTT or EMDR session, your brain might enter Rapid Eye Movement (REM) state more intensely or earlier in the sleep cycle. As a result, some clients may notice temporary changes as the brain processes and integrates the work completed during the session.

For a small number of people, possible experiences may include:
    • Vivid or symbolic dreams, or increased dream recall.
    • Temporary changes in sleep quality or sleep patterns.
    • Emotional sensitivity or mood fluctuations.
    • Fatigue or mild headaches.

These experiences are generally short-lived and often settle within a few days as the nervous system adjusts and the brain continues its natural processing. Many clients experience no disruption to their sleep and some report improvements in sleep quality following their sessions. If you have concerns about your sleep or experience significant discomfort after a session, please reach out.

Remember: Such experiences post-session is a sign that something is shifting, not that something is wrong!
