my dear inner child

Dear, oh dear, my Inner Child,
You’re so far from those thoughts you compiled.
All you ever wanted was just to be seen and heard,
Yet, you never received the gentle love you deserve.

Too young to understand, you got misled,
By those experiences that created voices in your head.
Blaming yourself, thinking it was all your fault,
Bottling up your feelings, your life came to a halt.

It’s time you let go of all limiting beliefs,
Allow yourself to heal and find some relief.
‘Cause you’re capable of anything you set your mind to,
From now on, please know I’m always here for you.

Dear, oh dear, my Inner Child,
You’re no longer those thoughts you once compiled.

This poem was inspired by a conversation I had with that little girl – my Inner Child – during one of my RTT sessions.

Remember, it’s never too late to nurture that part that will always live inside you, and remind them, “You are safe, you are loved, you are deserving of all the great things life has to offer because you are enough.” 💛

If you have that chance, what would you tell your Inner Child?
