no amount of self-love is enough without self-acceptance

“I want my life to feel easy.”
“I want to be free.”

These are probably two of the most common wants I hear from my clients whenever I ask about their goals during their first RTT session.

Although you shouldn’t be defined by your job title, but if that career path is your life’s purpose and that job gives you complete fulfilment, then, in my opinion, you should wear that job title with pride and take ownership of becoming the person who chooses to walk that path.

I still remember the feeling of liberation that ran through my body the day I finally announced to my friends and network that I am now a certified RTT Hypnotherapist. It was the day I fully accepted myself for the person I’ve become, for all that I am—my flaws and all.

🌍 Imagine you’re standing on top of a mountain, shouting out to the world who you are and what you do that fulfils your soul—that’s the same liberation I felt when I made that announcement.

Only a handful of people knew about this @layersofemotions account before the announcement because a part of me was scared of judgement and felt too embarrassed to tell everyone about the new career path I had chosen, leaving the cool/savvy “tech-founder” life behind.

Frankly, I was never really proud of my previous achievements, and in that process, I became a master of self-criticism. I never felt truly proud of myself until that day when I finally accepted who I am and told the world this is the upgraded version of me, now.

No past can define who I am today, and that is my superpower.

I hope my story serves as a reminder to accept all the versions of yourself that you’ve become or are becoming.

With love & light,
Eve
