will this healing journey ever end?

If they pain was deep, you’ll have to let it go many times.

Have you ever wondered why sometimes you ended up addressing the same wound you thought you had already healed from, again and again?

I thought I’ve healed from wounds about my body image and self-confidence that started in primary and secondary school, but I was wrong. It only took a small incident to trigger a chain of emotions and negative thoughts that put me a few steps backwards, leading to su!c!dal ideation and depression.

Luckily I was due for an RTT session 2 days later, which came at such a timely manner and helped me to get out of that rut quicker than before.

💫 So, here’s a reminder to be kind to yourself, especially when an old wound resurfaces.

Healing is never linear, nor is it that simple.

But if you take a little less time to bounce back up than the last time, then that’s good enough.

…and even if it takes you longer this time, then that’s okay, too, because you’re still here and you didn’t give up. That’s all that matters.
